My Story
My passion and profession is to record the truest representation of the nature, humanity and overall spectacle of the world and its inhabitants, including those from my backyard in beautiful Nelson, British Columbia.
I’m focused and driven, whether it’s putting the final touches on my Patagonia’s Wild Places project or helping to promote tourism on assignment for Destination British Columbia. In every respect I capture images that bring you closer to a moment, a place, a community or a brand. This runs the gamut from photographing an icy crevasse (from the inside) to highlighting a five-star lodge or restaurant.
Throughout the years I’ve developed a dichotomy in my pursuits, from one end as a devout nature freak to my other life as an adventure sports enthusiast. Both of these passions resonate in my photography and writing.
Much of my experience is derived from assignments and personal adventures of the far-flung kind, however I’m adept at capturing intimate and dramatic moments close to home too and behind the scenes. Have a look at my portfolios to see some examples.
